2025 Big Chefs Big Gala: An Epicurean Event Igniting Youth Potential

The 2025 Big Chefs Big Gala is an elegant evening of exceptional dining, community connection, and purpose that supports life-changing mentorship programs for local youth.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada (BBBSNN), the leading youth mentorship nonprofit, proudly announces the return of its signature event, the Big Chefs Big Gala. This premier evening of culinary excellence and community connection is set for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV. This year’s event will feature market-place style appetizers from local favorites. Including, Joshua Lee’s Pit BBQ,  Sushi Pier, adventurous cocktail creations of 10Torr among many more to be announced. The funds raised at the Big Chefs Big Gala are vital as they directly translate into life-changing outcomes for our youth. Thanks to the support generated by events like this, in 2024, 75% of Littles in our program improved their mental health, and 94% maintained or improved their educational expectations.

In addition, last year our incredible emcees – Kay Young and Shila Morris, Co-Owners of Squeeze In – set us on an unforgettable journey of community celebration and culinary excellence. This year, in addition to the meticulously crafted multi-course meal by the Grand Sierra Resort’s culinary team, BBBSNN is proud to present the Osborne Community Hero Award to Robert Levy, Director of Investments at Whittier Trust Company, recognizing 24 years of dedication and leadership as a founding board member and champion for BBBSNN. Overall, The Big Chefs Big Gala unites top local chefs, generous donors, community leaders, and supporters.
