2026 Biggest Little Golf Tournament
There is magic to what we do at Big Brothers Big Sisters. In every sponsor, every swing, every match, and every moment, our community is making an impact right here in Northern Nevada. This year, we stood together for a BIG Future at the 2026 Biggest Little Golf Tournament.
Through the partnership with our incredible sponsors and community supporters, the 2026 Biggest Little Golf Tournament was a celebration of mentorship in action. Where community, competition, and connection came together on the greens of Red Hawk Golf & Resort. Designed as a day where fun meets purpose, the tournament brought together business leaders, volunteers, and supporters who believe in the power of mentorship and the importance of investing in young people across Northern Nevada.
Our sincere thanks go to our Presenting Sponsor, Weigl Concrete, the players, volunteers, hole sponsors, and all our community partners who made this day possible. Their generosity and enthusiasm helped transform a day of golf into meaningful support for life-changing mentoring relationships. Because of our partners, we can continue recruiting Bigs, supporting Matches, and expanding opportunities for Littles throughout our community.
The Day on the Course
Golfers gathered early at Red Hawk Golf & Resort, preparing for a 10AM shotgun start and a full day of friendly competition. Before taking to the course, teams were able to enjoy coffee from Dutch Bros, Drinks from Squeeze In, and donuts from Doughboys. Throughout the tournament, players connected, met community leaders who believe in the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and learned more about the impact of mentoring relationships. The energy across the course reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that every young person in Northern Nevada has the opportunity to realize their full potential.
Then, closing out the day, we celebrated with a one-of-a-kind playoff. This year, Whittier Trust and Yelley-Gales teams (top scores from each course) competed head-to-head while cheered on by other defenders of potential. Yelley-Gales finished with an exhilarating putt to take first place.
The energy and support out here are clear indicators of our belief that every youth in our community has the potential to do something big, to dream bigger, and become the person they know they can be, all with the lifelong support from our mentors.
Mentorship in Action
The 2026 Biggest Little Golf Tournament is more than a community event. It is one of the ways we raise the resources needed to recruit mentors, support families, and create professionally supported one-to-one Matches between Bigs and Littles.
When a young person is matched with a caring adult mentor, they gain guidance, encouragement, and someone who consistently shows up for them. These relationships help Littles build confidence, strengthen relationships, and envision a future full of possibility.
A Community of Defenders
Events like the Biggest Little Golf Tournament remind us that mentorship is a community effort. Sponsors, donors, volunteers, Bigs, and supporters all play a role in defending the potential of young people.
Every swing, every sponsorship, and every team on the course helped move the mission forward. We would like to thank a few more special groups who made this day possible, including Aspen Earthworks and Whittier Trust, who brought the FUN to fundraising.
Together, this community made it possible for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada to continue expanding its impact. By connecting more Littles with the mentors who will help shape their biggest possible futures.
